The concept of the third eye has been around for centuries, and it is believed to be an inner eye that can provide insight and clarity. Many people believe that opening the third eye can lead to greater spiritual awareness and understanding. I can tell you that it is an incredible experience to see with the third eye, and although it is not something that happens to me all the time, it does often when I meditate.
Meditation is a great way to open the third eye, as it helps to quiet the mind and allow for deeper levels of consciousness. This is how meditation can help open the third eye.
What is the Third Eye?
The third eye is an ancient concept that refers to a spiritual centre located between the eyebrows. It is believed that this area is connected to higher levels of consciousness, and it can be used as a gateway into deeper states of awareness. The third eye is often associated with intuition, insight, and wisdom. It is believed that when this area is opened up through meditation, one can gain access to higher levels of understanding and knowledge. For me I usually see people that I don't know. I have also 'seen' where I was before being born the place called "infinite possibility".
I have tried to recreate what I saw with this image below that I made using AI.

How to Meditate for Opening the Third Eye
Meditation is a great way to open up the third eye because it helps quiet the mind and allows for deeper levels of consciousness. Here are some tips on how to meditate for opening up your third eye:
Find a comfortable position – Sitting upright in a chair. Make sure you are comfortable so you can relax your body and mind during your practice.
Focus on your breath – Close your eyes and focus on your breath as it moves in and out of your body. Allow yourself to become aware of each inhale and exhale without trying to control them in any way.
Visualise – Once you have established a steady breathing pattern, begin visualising energy flowing into your forehead area between your eyebrows (this is where your third eye resides). Imagine this energy opening up like a flower blooming or an expanding light radiating outward from within you. You may also want to visualise yourself receiving insights or wisdom from this energy source if that feels right for you. At this stage, I usually feel some pressure in that area and often see purple.
Remain focused – As thoughts arise during meditation (which they will!), simply acknowledge them without judgment or attachment before returning back to focusing on your breath or visualisation exercise. This will help keep you focused on what you’re doing instead of getting distracted by other thoughts or feelings that come up during practice.
